MOONLIT SCARS
MOONLIT SCARS
by Elena Herman
My scars are moonlit-
bit bright with dust,
just an endless silver
borne from fiery night,
cursed to turn twilight's ice.
My scars are moonlit-
endless sketched silver slits,
gruesome constellations,
bite-bright sites of light,
a message set in stone.
My scars are moonlit-
silent like our stars,
fate-snipped scars that sung
pain of flamed creation
sit iced as silver plight,
in endless moonlit night.
